2009 Joseph F. Shubert Library Excellence Award
Mr. Norman Jacknis, Chair of the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries, has announced that applications are now available for the Joseph F. Shubert Library Excellence Award, which recognizes the achievements of small, medium and large libraries and library consortia of New York State.
Library Trustee and Library Program of the Year Awards
The Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS) Board of Trustees approved the Trustee and Library Program of the Year Awards at their January 20, 2009 meeting.
The Board wishes to recognize the hard work done by trustees as well as recognize the good work and excellent services in the member libraries.
The awards will be presented at the SALS 51st Annual Meeting on May 18, 2009.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 27, 2009.
Please send nominations on library letterhead. Nominations by e-mail or fax will not be accepted.
