The librarian and educators section is filled with resources and over the next few weeks additional resources for parents, teens, and children are being added. Full details about the Teen Video Challenge winners has just been posted.

For the latest information all summer long please check out the Summer Reading News blog

A recent post includes an update from the CSLP Annual meeting with information about ordering, slogans, themes, etc.

Please send DLD  any news about your summer programs and they will be happy to share on our their blogs.

April is Autism Awareness Month

Get involved and spread awareness about autism at your library by planning a Sensory Storytime or programming to engage autistic children and their families.  Autism Spectrum Disorders affect one in 88 children in America according to the Autism Society; so, it is important to recognize their needs and reach out to the autistic in your community to show them that the library can be a safe place to have fun and learn.  Be sure to check out Libraries and Autism We’re Connected for a wealth of information on serving autistic individuals and their families.
