The Common Core Learning Standards demand that students develop literacy and technology skills to access, use, and create information. In order to assist teens with this demand, the New York State Library posts compelling informational resources onto the Teen NY Facebook Page, found at https://www.facebook.com/TeenNewYork.
Teen NY is updated three times each week with the intention of engaging teens in all subjects, from computer science to fine art. Resources posted to the page include Creative Commons Licensed databases, primary documents, and tutorials, as well as interesting articles and infographics. The page is curated to inspire teens to pursue their own interests and use quality resources when completing school assignments.
