CTD is pleased to present a 3-part Café event led by national AT expert Joy Zabala, Director of Technical Assistance for the AEM Center.

Introductory webinar: “Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) – Basics for Educators and Families” 
This webinar will provide foundational information about accessible materials and offer extensive resources on AEM, including state-specific contacts.

April 13-17 – Facilitated discussion in the CTD Café that will enable all participants to “dig into the content” with comments and questions that contribute to building accurate, shared knowledge around AEM. (Link will be provided)

Summary webinar: Using AEM in your own setting
This session focuses on the issues raised during the Café discussion and offers additional ideas and actions to help participants increase the availability and use of AEM in their own settings.

Join us for PLA BIG IDEAS @ ALA Annual, an ideal event for public library directors, deputy directors, and managers. An extension of the popular BIG IDEAS series at PLA Conference, this engaging day will feature dynamic speakers from outside the library world including leadership expert, Jay Conger, and creativity expert, Tina Seelig.

The day-long program is designed to be thought-provoking and fun! Take new (BIG!) ideas back to your library and make a difference in how you connect with your colleagues and your community. A networking lunch and after-reception are included in the cost of registration. Gale has some exciting changes coming to your NOVELNY databases and we want to walk you through them! Gale’s new responsive design interface for InfoTrac (periodical) resources, In Context resources, and Gale Virtual Reference Library is launching on April 2nd. These updates will make for a more user-friendly experience on any type of device as well as increase accessibility for those with disabilities like low vision or blindness, and create a common look between our most popular resources.
