Finding Grey Lit for Systematic Reviews: Can It Be More Black and White?

Including grey literature in systematic reviews is an important strategy for reducing bias in included studies, but there are significant challenges to designing and carrying out a grey literature search. Librarians can expect systematic review teams to turn to them for expertise in conducting, managing, and documenting a grey literature search. This webinar provides participants with a framework for grey literature decision-making and tips for managing the search process, so that they can deliver black and white (clear and credible) results.

miSci and the Dudley Observatory Open House and Tour

Join us for a visit of two CDLC members under the same roof! The staff of miSci and Dudley Observatory will provide us with behind-the-scenes tours of collections and archives, followed by a brief program showcasing the highlights of the 160 year old Dudley Observatory.

There will also be free time to explore the museum exhibits, and anopportunity to view the stars and planets through telescopes, weather permitting. The viewing will be outside, so if you wish to participate, dress for the weather.

NYS Military Museum and Open House

Join your CDLC colleagues for special behind-the-scenes tours of the New York State Military Museum. Jim Gandy, librarian, will guide us through the archives and library. Courtney Burns, director, will lead a tour of the museum and the arms vault.

The vault is not usually accessible to the public, so we are grateful to the museum for providing this opportunity. View the exhibits and visit the gift shop.

The museum is a short walk away from downtown Saratoga Springs, so you can finish your evening with dinner at one of the many restaurants in town or get a jump on your holiday shopping.
