Come learn about MarcEdit, a freely downloadable metadata software suite available at no cost on the Internet. MarcEdit is designed for large-scale batch record processing, including batch editing MARC records, character set conversions, and record extractions. It also provides users with the ability to perform crosswalks between MARC and other data formats (e.g. Dublin Core). This workshop demonstrates how to edit large batches of records and discusses how your library might use MarcEdit to enhance your workflows.

It will take place at the The William K. Sanford Town Library  (629 Albany Shaker Road, Loudonville, NY) and is being co-hosted by the Capital District Library Council & Southeastern NY Library Resources Council

This workshop will focus on creating simple websites with the help of free & affordable web tools.  By the end of the day, you will learn the basics of creating a modern website using both Weebly and WordPress.com.
The cost is $25 and includes lunch.  This workshop is open to all members of CDLC institutions and will be held at the CDLC Offices (28 Essex Street, Albany, NY).
