About 80 percent of Americans carry at least one type of debt. And although the total debt carried by Americans has edged downward since the 2008 recession, it is starting to creep back up. October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), a nationally recognized effort sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Alliance and Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center, to highlight the importance of cyber security.  Each week in October is dedicated to a specific cyber security theme to raise awareness across the country and to empower citizens, schools, businesses, and government to improve their cyber security preparedness.

  • Week 1 (October 1 – 3): Promoting Online Safety with the Stop.Think.Connect.™ Campaign (www.stopthinkconnect.org/)
  • Week 2 (October 6 – 10): Secure Development of IT Products
