The Southern Adirondack Libraires ON demand (SALON) announced today that it will be taking part in the Big Library Read program. Library card holders will be able to borrow and read the mystery eBook, A Pedigree to Die For, Book 1 of the Melanie Travis Mystery Series by Laurien Berenson, starting June 3 and concluding the morning of June 18 (US EST) by visiting http://salon.sals.edu
Big Library Read is an international program that gives libraries and library patrons unlimited simultaneous access to a popular title during the program dates, creating a virtual, global book club. Interested patrons will be able borrow A Pedigree to Die For using a valid library card, and read on all major computers and devices, including iPhone®, iPad®, Nook®, Android™ phones and tablets, and Kindle® [U.S. Libraries] without worrying about wait lists or holds. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, and best of all, there are no late fees!
The Southern Adirondack Library System is excited to offer this book without a wait period and to kick off the Overdrive Challenge for our member libraries in Hamilton, Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.
The Big Library Read program is made possible through a partnership between OverDrive, the leading supplier of eBooks and more to libraries, and Kensington Publishing Corp., publisher of Laurien Berenson’s unusual and fascinating mystery. To borrow the eBook version of A Pedigree to Die For as part of Big Library Read, patrons can visit http://salon.sals.edu
