The New York Library Association (NYLA) announces the last in its series of Digital Literacy train-the-trainer workshops.
Where: NYLA office, Guilderland, NY
When: November 18, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
What: Two sessions (morning and afternoon): one on the state-recommended digital literacy curriculum and one on how to teach the curriculum to adult learners
Who: All library staff who interact with the public
The goal of the program is to train library staff who can then improve the digital literacy skills of their colleagues and patrons. The workshop is FREE (no registration fees!), and lunch will be provided. Travel and substitute staffing reimbursements will be available. In addition, libraries that send a staff person for training and then offer one of the recommended classes are eligible for a $150 incentive payment.
