LEGO Children’s Fund
The LEGO Children’s Fund is committed to helping children (age birth to 14) develop their creativity and learning skills through constructive play. The Fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations that offer innovative projects to cultivate and celebrate children’s exploration of personal creativity and creative problem-solving. Primary areas of support include: early childhood education and development, technology and communication projects that advance learning opportunities, and sports or athletic programs that concentrate on underserved youth.
Grants generally range from $500 to $5,000. Applications are considered from nonprofit organizations located anywhere within the United States, with emphasis on Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Requests are reviewed quarterly; the next application deadline is February 1, 2010.
