Beginning shortly after the 1st of the year Quipu eCard will be available for all libraries to use to register new patrons.  eCard is simply an online patron registration form that staff fill out when registering new patrons.  Once the form is completed and submitted, the patron registration is instantly created in Polaris.  When registering patrons through eCard, staff no longer need to figure out the patron statistical class, school district and town/city; eCard does the work for you!

 

A complete staff patron registration training session including how to use Quipu eCard will be held on January 23rd at SALS from 10:00-11:30 AM (snow date January 24th).  We’ll be scheduling one in the MVLS area as well.  We very strongly suggest that circulation staff attend this training session, as many changes to patron registration practices have occurred over the past year.  It is expected that all libraries will use eCard to register new patrons to ensure accurate patron data in the shared patron database.
