• held once a month for 3 hours
• Teens are invited “First Fridays @ 5″ (7th grade and up)
• Middle schoolers have a special night on the third Friday (5th and 6th graders)
• PIZZA is served always
• Must bring the best thing they have read in the past month (books, articles, recipes, postings…)
• Must stand and share your selection and answer questions.
• Rated E or T games only (We usually only have DDR and GH running)
• The downstairs has only board games and two computers - all PS games are upstairs to give readers a quiet space if they want.
• Promotion is done with business card style “tickets” the kids can hand out to their friends.
• High Schoolers may come and go as they please, Middle Schoolers must remain in the building.

Am I missing something? I thought a link to the del.icio.us site that Linda Braun talked about would be here. I can find it in my notes, but a link might be helpful to others…

This summer reading workshop was a lot of fun. It also had some great ideas for programs for little or no cost. I really liked the smaller group.

Linda was an exceptional speaker! I just love her enthusiasm. There were several suggestions she made that I intend to try out. I had never given podcasts a thought before….interesting.

    I called the Tang …

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College http://tang.skidmore.edu
Contact persons are Ginger Ertz and Karen for the FREE Suitcase Program. This is a program where people from the Tang Museum come out to your library and do a program. The whole program fits in a suitcase. You can contact Ginger and Karen at (518) 580-5538 or jertz@skidmore.edu

Ginger is out until April 7th. She has not nailed down what the suitcase programs will exactly be. She did mention with Karen a program about insects.

Karen is taking requests for dates now for the summer suitcase programs. Get your date now. The slots go FAST!!

Hello all, Wouldn’t it be fun to have a Catch the Bug day at your local Saratoga Barnes & Noble and maybe pay for your Summer Reading Program in the process, or make money to add more books to your libraries? Interested Call Crystal 518-583-7761
