Learn how to apply 5 standard components of marketing effectively as you analyze your library’s community data and needs.  Develop a strategy to measure the success of the library’s marketing efforts.

This two-day program will provide working librarians with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively market the library’s programs and services. At the end of the program, participants will be able to identify the five standard components of marketing and apply those components effectively as they analyze community data and community needs, link them to the library’s strategic planning priorities, select library products and services that meet community and customer needs, define the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats the library faces when marketing its services, understand the components of a marketing plan, draft an outline of a marketing plan, evaluate the impact of marketing materials and methods, and develop a strategy to measure the success of the library’s marketing efforts.

THE PRESENTER:
WAYNE PIPER is a certified Public Library Association Planning for Results trainer.  He has 30 years experience in a variety of library settings.
