Library 2.0: Choices Along the Technology Curve Challenge

The Challenge:

  • Try out Library 2.0 tools that bring the library to the patron.
  • Choose your level of participation
  • Learn on your own, attend SALS’ workshops, and/or come to Do It Yourself (DIY) days 

Who is eligible?

  • Anyone who works in a SALS member library can participate.

How do I join the challenge?

When is the challenge over?

  • April 9, 2008

The Tools:

  • Level 1:  Receive a Borders’ gift card to enhance your technology book collection.
  • Level 2:  The tool from level 1 plus a 1.0 GB flash drive to transfer photos and documents 

  • Level 3:  The tools from levels 1 & 2 plus a 1 year subscription to Flickr (per library) to continue to share photos to meet your community needs and promote your library.

    How do I get the tools?

  • Every time you complete a task, come back to this blog post and submit a comment stating the task & if you will use this tool and how. (Include links when appropriate.)  Tools will be distributed when you complete the challenge.
