Is your library planning to apply for the next round of State construction grants?
Did you know that the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Architecture program has technical assistance funds available to help libraries get the information they need to make effective decisions about construction projects?
Anne Van Ingen, director of the NYSCA Architecture Program will be at SALS on Monday, June 4 at 10 am to explain how libraries can apply for these grants and answer your questions. Technical assistance funds are disbursed throughout the year with quick turnarounds.
The meeting will conclude with a discussion of the opportunity for SALS to submit a March 1, 2008 proposal to NYSCA for a circuit-rider to do an assessment of our member library buildings in need of rehabilitation.
Contact Elaine Baker, ebaker@sals.edu by Friday June 1, 2007 if you plan on attending.
