With over one million books in the shared MVLS/SALS online catalog, how do you pick out the perfect one for the young reader in your life?
The Southern Adirondack Library System is proud to announce… Beanstack! Get weekly emails with recommended books, apps, and learning tips for your kids.
We partnered with the Mohawk Valley Library System to offer Beanstack, which provides personalized book recommendations for children ages 0-12 years, based on their reading level and interest delivered right to your inbox. The online service also recommends age-appropriate mobile apps and reading tips. Just click the link in your email and go straight to the MVLS/SALS online catalog, where you can place the book on hold to be picked up at your local library.
Teens and adults can also use Beanstack to log their reading activity and to view book lists created by local librarians.

And stay tuned… Beanstack for Summer Reading is coming to some of our area libraries in 2016! This summer, families will be able to track their summer reading using Beanstack’s clean, user-friendly, mobile-first interface. The service will combat “summer slide” by helping families log their reading and complete fun, educational activities.
Registered participants will receive a weekly recommendation of one book from the library’s collection and one event at their library. Sign-ups will start soon.
